| Family Activity Titles and JobsThe gospel for today stresses quality of leadership. Jesus used a critique and an extreme caricature of competing religious leaders to make a point. Lead for others not for your own interests. When you read this gospel to your family, stress Jesus exaggerated the subjects of "titles" to make his point clear. After all, what would a family be without a "Dad" or a "Mom?" But the quality of family life depends upon the type of mother and father. With titles come power and responsibilities. To stress this point, roleplay "Titles and Jobs." Brainstorm important titles with job descriptions. Have your family members roleplay these titles. Afterwards, discuss what makes a good "___" (fill in the title). Don't be surprised if discussion centers on the quality of leadership. Read the gospel to your family in this light. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
