Raising Up Life

Everything Jesus touched turned to life (the ultimate Midas touch!). In these passages from Mark, the faith of Jairus allowed Jesus to raise the daughter of the synagogue to from death. This story allows for an easy role-play. Have a family member lie lifeless while you read Mark 5:21-24, 35-43. At the moment Jesus sat the young girl up, have your entire family raise the "lifeless" volunteer up. Stress the faith of the synagogue teacher and power of Jesus.. Jesus now works through his Body (his followers); we are Jesus for others, especially our families.
