An Invitation from Jesus

"Come and see!" Jesus invited followers of John the Baptist to visit his house. In the time of Jesus, the word "house" could mean a building or a family. Those whom Jesus invited would soon be part of his family, the Church.

Imagine what sort of greeting card Jesus would use to invite guests to his house (i.e., his family). Have your family members draw such greeting cards with the title "Come and See." Make sure to draw Jesus and his house. What sort of a party would he throw for his guests? What sort of gifts would Jesus give? What sort of gifts could the guests bring? Place your invitations on a bulletin board or on the refrigerator for all to see.
