Family Activity A Family Card-Writing TraditionThis Sunday's gospel introduces John the Baptist, the prophet who announced the coming of the Savior. John preached a change of heart, an openness, toward God and others. Last week, we began that change with more time for God and family. This week, reconnect with friends. Christmas has a wonderful tradition of sending cards. This year, don't write out the cards by yourself. Make it a family tradition. Gather your family, add friends of family members to your list, revise your list as a family, and work on the cards together. This yearly chore will become more enjoyable with everyone's assistance. |
