Family Prayer Corner

John was a witness to the light, but not the light. Christ was the light John proclaimed. Jesus is the light of the world.

Candles add a glow to the long evenings of the season. Why not create a Christmas prayer corner with candles, a picture of Jesus (or the Holy Family), and flowers. Dedicate the prayer corner by lighting the candles in a darkened room and sharing John 1:6-8, 19-28 with your family. Take a few moments to discuss the power of light and how light dispels the darkness. Tell your family Jesus, like light, dispels the darkness of sin and death.
