Family Prayer Time

“Holy Father, keep them in the name you gave me, so they can be united.” Of all human institutions, family is synonymous with unity. As the old saying goes, “Blood is thicker than water.” When threatened, family members will come to the defense of each other. In good times, family members will share joy and celebration. Family members are meant to be together.

The prayer of Jesus in John 17 adds a larger dimension to family unity. When God enters the family dynamic, he creates a spiritual union. Family members are one with God and each other especially when they pray.

Create special family time for prayer this week. Or, pray a special prayer during family prayer time. This way, you can strengthen the bonds of your family with God and each other.
