Simple Prayers

The parable of the Persistent Widow and the Unjust Judge has one moral: pray constantly! In our busy lives, this might be impossible. But we can develop habits and use reminders to focus on God throughout our day.

One successful technique lies in simplicity and repetition. Saying the name of Jesus over and over has been recommended by many spiritual advisors. Others use the rosary. No matter how you pray during the day, keep it simple and use the same form over and over.

Family prayer should be a habit of simple prayers. That way, they can be said at any time, anywhere.
