Summer Quiet Time

Most children are home for the summer. Summer school, camps, and vacation runaround all take their toll. No wonder many parents pray for the beginning of school this time of year!

Just like Jesus invited the apostles to join him for some quiet time, families need that kind of time, especially in the busy summer season. Plan some quiet time together without friends, media distractions, or selfish pursuits. A Sunday picnic, for example, is a great way to get out of the ordinary routine for a few hours. Spend time as family. And don't forget to spend quiet time alone with God.
